What's Tense?

  • In grammar, tense is a category that expresses time reference.
  • Tenses are usually manifested by the use of specific forms of verbs, particularly in their conjugation patterns.

Present Tense

  • Present Tense is a tense expressing an action that is currently going on or habitually performed or a state that currently or generally exists.
  • In other words, the Present tense is used to talk about the present and the future.

What’s present simple tense?

The Present Simple tense is the most basic tense in English and uses the base form of the verb (except for the verb be). The only change from the base is the addition of (s) or (es) for the third person singular.
