HSK 1 (Hanyu Shuiping Kaoshi Level 1) is the most basic level of the standardized Chinese proficiency test. It assesses learners' ability to understand and use very simple Chinese phrases and sentences, meeting basic communication needs.
The HSK Level 1 reading part of examination comprises four sections with a total of 20 questions. Section 1 (Questions 1–5): Examine the picture and determine whether the accompanying name is correct. Select "Yes" or "No." Section 2 (Questions 6–10): Match the pictures with their corresponding descriptions. Section 3 (Questions 11–15): Match the questions with their corresponding answers.
